Grammys Watch: Florence Welch’s High-Fashion Clothes

One of the most fashionable people in Park City, Utah this week for the Sundance Film Festival isn’t an actress, but singer Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine. The 24-year-old Brit, whose group is nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards next month, is often spotted in couture clothes by Chanel and Givenchy as well as luxury labels like Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Zuhair Murad. Over at Sundance, she performed at the Official Bing Bar after-party wearing Elie Saab (shown). Looks like we can count on Welch to inject the oft-crazy Grammys red carpet with some high fashion at the awards ceremony February 13th. Golden Globes Gowns We'd Love to See

Golden Globe nominees are finalizing their last dress picks this week before the big show on Sunday, January 16th, and we can’t wait to see what they’re going to wear! That’s why we dreamed up our wish list of gowns we’d love to see hit the red carpet. For example, Best Actress nominee Halle Berry favors body-conscious gowns like this single-shoulder jersey gown from Alberta Ferretti, hence our pick for this Atelier Versace design. Its illusion bodice gives a nod to her peek-a-boo Elie Saab Oscar gown, while the bright white shade complements her caramel complexion. See Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Lea Michele and more in our InStyle Golden Globe Gown Predictions.

Actress Bryce Dallas Howard landed a modeling job as the face of Kate Spade‘s spring 2011 campaign. Howard, the 29-year-old daughter of Ron Howard who starred in Hereafter, The Village, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is the first celebrity to star to pose for the label in the brand’s 18-year history (and it’s her first campaign, too). She perfects the playful, colorful aspects of the label in the photographs, posing with a bullhorn while draped in Kate Spade clothes, bracelets, shoes and bags. Hilary Swank‘s great style may be coming to a store near you. The Oscar-winning actress is working on an activewear clothing line, WWD reports, which means the designs will be as functional as they are fashionable. The sports lover, avid runner and former gymnast is working with DMA Designers Management Agency to create the line, and is currently searching for designers to partner with to develop the collection. Ideally for us, it would come out in 2011, because we’ve got gym-oriented New Year’s resolutions! Plus: Check out the best of Hilary Swank’s 2010 red-carpet style in the gallery.
