One of the most fashionable people in Park City, Utah this week for the Sundance Film Festival isn’t an actress, but singer Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine. The 24-year-old Brit, whose group is nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards next month, is often spotted in couture clothes by Chaneland Givenchyas well as luxury labels like Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Diorand Zuhair Murad. Over at Sundance, she performed at the Official Bing Bar after-party wearing Elie Saab (shown). Looks like we can count on Welch to inject the oft-crazy Grammys red carpet with some high fashion at the awards ceremony February 13th. Actress Bryce Dallas Howard landed a modeling job as the face of Kate Spade‘s spring 2011 campaign. Howard, the 29-year-old daughter of Ron Howard who starred in Hereafter, The Village, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is the first celebrity to star to pose for the label in the brand’s 18-year history (and it’s her first campaign, too). She perfects the playful, colorful aspects of the label in the photographs, posing with a bullhorn while draped in Kate Spade clothes, bracelets, shoes and bags. Natalie Portman is ending her eventful year with a big announcement: Representatives for the 29-year-old confirmed to People.com today that the vegan actress is engaged to choreographer Benjamin Millepied and that she is pregnant with the couple’s first child. The couple met filming of Black Swan, where Millepied served as both the choreographer and dance partner to Portman and co-star Mila Kunis. Portman recently earned Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award Best Actress nominations for her role in the movie. Congrats to the couple! While Natalie Portman’s latest movie, Black Swan, opens nationwide tonight, the actress made the rounds in New York this week for something other than the buzzy ballerina film: Christian Dior named her the new face of its Miss Dior Cherie fragrance! And Portman didn’t have to sacrifice her strict vegan values for the gig. “One of the things that’s been so nice is that Dior made all of the shoes for me with no animals and no leather or anything, because I don’t wear any leather,” Portman told WWD of her wardrobe in the Sofia Coppola-directed fragrance commercials. “They remade all my shoes so I can wear Dior shoes without taking lives.” What a great way to be socially-conscious and stylish.
