The lovely Gwyneth Paltrow recently appeared in Switzerland wearing a pink dress by Azzedine Alaïa. The designer’s knit dresses are tailored to be ultra-feminine and flattering, which is why they are in the closets of some of the most stylish celebrities, like Paltrow, as well as Penelope Cruz, Stephanie Seymour, Bar Refaeli and First Lady Michelle Obama. Click through the gallery to see photos of celebs who love Alaïa’s designs.

Glee’s favorite substitute teacher, Holly Holliday as played by Gwyneth Paltrow, will return to Glee for two episodes this spring, and her role promises to be hot! “There’s going to be lots of sex, singing and dancing,” Glee creator Ryan Murphy told us at the Fox Searchlight Golden Globes after-party. Paltrow’s character will play a sex education teacher who dates Mr. Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison. And there’s more: Anne Hathaway will play Kurt Hummel’s lesbian aunt, Kristin Chenoweth will be back as April Rhodes and the Glee kids will be covering tunes by Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga. The Golden Globe-winning show returns with new episodes February 6 on Fox.

Last night, the Black Swan star (and February cover girl!) wore a halter-style Vena Cava sheath to the premiere of her latest film, No Strings Attached, and she recently wore a Vionnet dress with studded collar and cuffs to the Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala and a Jason Wu silk chiffon tiered dress at the People’s Choice Awards. As Portman’s pregnancy progresses—and she gears up to walk the Golden Globes red carpet this Sunday—she has plenty of well-dressed celebrity moms to take style cues from. Check out the best dressed pregnant celebrities in the gallery. Tell us: What are your favorite maternity looks?

Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t just become a country music singer overnight. The Oscar-winning actress (and Glee guest star) relied on her friends for pointers to perfect her role in Country Strong. “I was playing a bonafide superstar and that’s what kind of scared me the most,” our January cover girl told Good Morning America.” I thought, ‘How am I going to realistically pull this off?’ So I studied Beyonceto see how she performs and that kind of amazing confidence she has. I thought if I could just channel a little thimbleful of Beyonce’s confidence, then you know.” Catch Country Strong when it opens nationwide on Friday. Turns out, customizing your own products is a hot trend. “Personally I just love wearing something that is exactly what I wanted it to be,” Jodie Fox, co-founder and director of fashion of Shoes of Prey, the company that let’s you customize your own shoes, told InStyle.com. “And, it’s also incredibly exciting to respond to a compliment on my shoes by saying, ‘I designed them.'” Since the site went live in October 2009, sales have doubled every quarter and the company has already expanded from Australia to China, Russia and the United States. Getting a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is huge. Gwyneth Paltrow is the latest actress to join the exclusive group, which also includes Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Kyra Sedgwick, among others. So it’s only fitting that these stylish women would show up to the ceremony in perfect ensembles. Gwyneth opted for a lace Monique Lhuillier dress, Reese wore Dolce & Gabbana polka dots, Cameron chose white lace Oscar de la Renta, and Kyra Sedgwick went with a voluminous orange frock. They all look so ladylike-chic!

All five nominees are Hollywood (and/or Nashville) heavyweights like Gwyneth Paltrow, Christina Aguilera and Cher. And while the tunes usually aren’t performed at the Golden Globes, we’re hoping the Hollywood Foreign Press Association can find time for them in the show this year. Check out the complete list of Best Song nominees in the gallery.
