Geri Halliwell is a swimsuit designer! The former Spice Girl partnered with British retailer Next to create a collection of swimwear named Geri by Next, which includes one-pieces, bikinis, and cover-ups in floral and cheetah-print patterns and bright colors like pink, white and blue. And not only did Halliwell design the line, she modeled it, too. The 38-year-old mother of one was spotted in Miami during Thanksgiving week for her photo shoot. “It’s about inspiring confidence with great looking swimwear for all body shapes,” Halliwell told DailyMail. The pieces go on sale on NextDirect.com in January for $28 to $78. See pieces from Halliwell’s upcoming swimwear collection in the gallery.

After a successful exhibition at New York’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in 2010, the label—designed by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy—is getting another museum run at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles starting March 4th. The exhibit will include Rodarte’s runway creations as well as the phenomenal custom costumes worn by Natalie Portman in Black Swan. So if you were wondering how those feathers look in person, you’ll get your chance to find out this spring. The exhibition will run through June.

Not just because it’s the start of a new year, but also because it’s when the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), launches. What can you expect? Well, plenty of Oprah Winfrey, for starters. She’s launching shows with behind-the-scenes footage, and a new program called Oprah Presents Master Class that features celebrities like Jay-Z, Simon Cowell and more. But it’s not all Oprah. The channel will also showcase familiar Oprah experts, like Dr. Phil, Suze Orman and Dr. Mehmet Oz, plus new faces, like Canadian chefs Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic on Anna & Kristina’s Grocery Bag. We’re most excited about Finding Sarah, with former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, and Why Not? With Shania Twain, which both launch this spring. Rihanna relaxed on the beaches of Barbados (her home turf) this week wearing a panther-print swimsuit by the Australian brand We Are Handsome. The label, designed by Indhra Chagoury and Jeremy Somers (inset), launched in 2009 with the idea of putting retro prints and images on classic cuts. “You can’t help but be captured by the prints and their bold beauty,” Chagoury told us about the line, when we caught up with the duo today about the suit. As for their reaction to Rihanna’s look: “We love it! She looks unbelievably hot, and it totally suits her personal style.” The suit, part of the resort 2011 collection, is available for $375 on Net-A-Porter.com.

While vacationing in Hawaii over the holidays, Michelle Obama wore a printed skirt by the label Jolibe, purchased from Ikram, her go-to Chicago store. Jolibe’s spring collection, designed by Joel Diaz, is filled with sheer fabrics, soft, sculptural pieces and modern silhouettes. Will this be the First Lady’s new favorite label? We wonder…
